The History

The Three Horseshoes Public House

The earliest known landlord of the The Three Horseshoes Public House was Thomas Bryce, circa 1822. It gave its name to the railway junction and signal box, 250 metres away, when the railway was built.

Historical and current images of the pub can be viewed here.

More information about the Three Horse Shoes signal box can be found on UK Railways 1970 to today‘s website.

How to get more involved

The Three Horseshoes Hub has multiple methods for getting involves and helping the cause.

One of these options is to support to project via a donation to our Just Giving Crowdfunding page. This will go towards purchase and renovation of the community hub.

Alternatively we’d love for the community to become more involved with the project and become a shareholder. We can provide more information on this upon request to ensure the terms and conditions are fully understood.
